Elaine Brewer-White has been sculpting in clay for over 30 years. She brings an attitude of joyful celebration to all her subjects and has created countless portraits, murals, garden sculpture, and life-size figures which are in collections around the world. One New York collector currently has over 20 figurative pieces.

Elaine specializes in portrait commissions, both private and corporate, with subjects ranging from Canadian priministers, to deep sea divers, to families reposing on furniture. Elaine considers this legacy work, creating 3/D portraits of individuals or families which will tell their story for future generations.

Out of the studio, Elaine has served as Artist in Residence for schools and businesses across western Canada. She's worked in film, behind the scenes and in front of the camera. She also has a background in theatre and along with her husband, Gordon White, a clown with Cirque du Soleil, established a corporate entertainment company called The Comedy Factory. She has served as a performer and senior humor coach, teaching humor in the workplace and spontaneous thinking to a wide range of companies and professional organizations.

Elaine's work is exuberant, and her life exhibits the necessity for art, play, laughter. She believes in the creative spirit and seeks to celebrate it in all she does.
